Successful First Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

November 2025- Boardman Park and Recreation’s first-ever Thanksgiving Turkey Trot made 
a memorable debut at the Boardman Marina Park, bringing the community together for a 
fun and festive start to the holiday. With more than 70 pre-registrations—and even more 
participants joining the day of—the event exceeded expectations and set a strong 
foundation for future trots.
Despite a bit of rain, spirits stayed high as families, friends, and neighbors gathered to run, 
walk, cheer, and share in the holiday excitement. Participants tackled the scenic 5K and 
10K courses, filling the park with laughter, determination, and warm community energy.

Boardman Park & Rec extends a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers whose dedication 
helped make this event possible. Your support ensured a smooth, safe, and enjoyable 
experience for everyone involved. We also give a special thank you to the Boardman Fire 
Rescue Department for being on site and supporting our community throughout the 
morning.
With such a strong turnout and positive feedback, we’re already looking forward to next
